Magical Makeover

Conjure up a little pixie magic and make your guests feel like dainty little fairies with a sparkly makeover by Tinker Bell herself! You'll need your choice of lip gloss that sparkles, glitter blush or eye shadow, non-toxic nail polish in bright sparkling colors, and tiny prismatic stickers.

Enlist a fun-loving mom or teenage girl to play the role of Tinker Bell, complete with fairy wings, a sparkling face and a wand to spread her fairy magic. For more fun, let the birthday child dress up as Tinker Bell (or her little helper) as well.

As each guest arrives, Tinker Bell should wave her magic wand and lead them to her makeover table. There, each guest should receive a dab of glitter blush, eye shadow or lip gloss to brighten her face. Allow each guest to choose her favorite color of nail polish and give her a quick manicure. Use a blow dryer to dry fingernails quickly, or ask each little pixie to flick her fingers in the air for about sixty seconds. When nails are dry, let each guest choose a tiny sticker for each fingernail.

Flower Wreaths

Crown the little fairies at your party with flower wreaths to make them feel extra special! Gather fresh flowers, or purchase silk/paper flowers at a craft store. If you choose fresh flowers, baby?s breath is inexpensive, easy to work with, and delicately beautiful. Miniature roses or daisies make wonderful wreaths as well. Provide each guest with a piece of ribbon, about 3 ft. long.

Demonstrate how to begin: hold a flower by the stem and lay it flat on the ribbon. Wrap the ribbon around the stem tightly; add another flower. Make sure the stems are always lying flat on the ribbon as you wind the ribbon around. Continue until the wreath is large enough to fit a child?s head; tie a knot with the extra ribbon. Make wreaths with two shades of ribbon for a pretty effect!

Smiling Sprites

Your party pixies are sure to giggle with delight, even though they?re forbidden to smile!

The game begins with the children sitting in a circle, so everyone can see one another. Let the birthday child start the game by grinning happily while all other participants keep straight faces. Once everyone has seen the birthday child?s big smile, she then wipes the smile from her face and throws it to another party guest, who must catch the smile with his or her hand and put it on.

After catching the smile and putting it on, the newly smiling sprite may choose to throw it to someone else or taunt the somber players for a few moments with a wild grin. (Put a time limit on each grin if players are slow to pass on their happy role.) Remember that all other players must remain seated and must not crack a smile. One smirk and they?re out!

Tinker Bell's Secret

Help Tinker Bell get a message to Peter Pan with this hilarious game! Seat your guests in a circle. The birthday child (Tinker Bell) thinks of a secret message and whispers it to the person on the right. Continue until it travels around the circle to the last person (Peter Pan) who tells the message out loud. Compare the message that Peter Pan received with Tinker Bell's original message! Try again with another secret and continue until your guests are ready for another activity.
