Create teeny, tiny,
star-shaped treats fit for your little fairies! Simply
make your child?s favorite sandwiches, remove the crusts
and cut them into star shapes using a small cookie
cutter. Or if you wish, serve sandwiches cut into small
triangles and laid out in a star-shaped arrangement. (To
do this, place sandwiches in a circle with the points
facing towards the edge of the tray.)
Sparkling Cider
Sparkling cider served in
fancy glasses will make your Tinker Bell party extra
special! Garnish each drink with a piece of colorful
fruit on the rim of the glass, a silk/plastic flower or
an umbrella. After your little fairies have finished
their drinks, rinse the flowers or umbrellas with water
and let your guests wear them as hair decorations.
Captain Hook's
Fruit Boat
Create a fruit salad that's
just as fun to make as it is to eat! To make Captain
Hook's fruit boat, halve a watermelon lengthwise. Remove
the fruit inside with a melon baller, leaving the rind
intact in the shape of Captain Hook's pirate ship.
Combine the watermelon with other pieces of fruit your
child enjoys, such as sliced bananas, halved grapes,
apple chunks, pineapple, etc. Mix them together and put
them back into the empty watermelon rind. Use skewers to
make the ship's masts and construction paper for the
sails. Enjoy!
Enchanted Fairy
Wand Cookies
You won't have to do much
to entice your little party pixies with these sweet
treats! Simply make your favorite sugar cookie recipe or
purchase Pillsbury® Refrigerated Sugar Cookies. Roll out
the dough and cut it out using a star-shaped cookie
cutter; bake according to instructions. As soon as the
cookies come out of the oven, and are still soft to the
touch, carefully push a plastic straw between any two
points of the star. This makes the handle for your magic
fairy wand.
Frost the cookies with
glossy icing. To make glossy icing, simply sift
confectioners? sugar into a bowl. Slowly add hot water,
while mixing, until it becomes a smooth paste. Add a few
drops of food coloring to make these treats more fun.
These wand cookies are somewhat fragile, but they're
delicious and a lot of fun to eat!
Peter Pan's
Peppermint Sodas
Make your guests feel like
they're in Never Neverland with Peter Pan's special
soda! For each soda, you'll need 1 cup milk, 1 cup
sparkling water, and 2 scoops peppermint ice cream. Mix
the milk and water together in a glass, add the ice
cream, and serve. To make peppermint shakes, put all the
ingredients together in a blender and mix well. Garnish
with a sprig of mint for an added touch!
